This is the official case report of Alexander Ford following the investigation of case file #8378. It is both my pleasure, and regret to inform Central that the case has been closed, and all investigations have been halted. All artifacts and items of value have been recovered and stored in the SI:7 reliquary for processing.

SI:7 casualties include myself, (Sub dermal bruising, broken ribs, numerous lacerations, 3rd degree burns) and Field Operative Qopeyt ( broken arm, fractured sternum, 3rd degree burns.) All wounds are superficial, given time and proper alchemical treatment. However, neither I nor Qopeyt will be fit for service for some time. Estimates of recovery time range from 3 weeks, to 6 months, depending upon how we take to the medicine administered. Trail Ranger Leif suffered no injuries during the course of Flickering Flame, and has returned to active duty on Draenor.

Two suits of SI:7 combat armor were damaged during the course of this investigation. Catastrophic plate failure across the board on both suits, with the chest and arm plating bearing the worst of it. The Legs and lower torso armor is salvageable and has been returned to the SI:7 armory for repairs. The rest of the armor is slated to be scrapped.

Two SI:7 shortblades were shattered during the course of Flickering Flame, while all seventeen withdrawn Tri-bladed throwing daggers have been returned to the armory. All three assigned agents have turned in their appointed mission specific wargear with no noticeable damage – outside of the aforementioned suits of non salvageable plate.

No civilians or personnel of any affiliation, Defias Brotherhood included, were harmed during the course of this investigation. However, I confirmed the deaths of the following individuals during the course of Flickering Flame:

  • Ida Stonesong: Dwarf (Undead), F, Age: 33,  – Recovered prior to investigation in her Stormwind Academy Dorm #19. Stabbed to death with a null-magic knife. Fatal internal magical field failure; reanimation magic dissipated and death followed. Exact time of death, height, and weight included with initial morgue report.
  • David Stonesong,: Dwarf, M, Age: 42, – Recovered at the same site and time as Ida. Stabbed to death with a null-magic knife. Internal organ failure; bled out. Exact time of death, height, and weight included with initial morgue report.
  • Leandros Thebian: Human, M, Age:31 – Recovered by Trail Ranger Leif two miles outside of Goldshire, at the entrance road to Westfall. Severely burned and lacerated (through plate armor no less) across his entire body. Skull was devoid of flesh burnt down to the charred bone. Exact time of death, height, and weight included with initial morgue report.
  • Jonas Hauser: Human, M, Age: 28 – Recovered by myself along the main caravan road (Route 13) through Westfall. Bisected horizontally (through plate armor). Instant brain death, spinal failure. Exact time of death, height, and weight included with initial morgue report.

This concludes part 1 of my case report. Part 2 will be along shortly.

  1. Who are those last two? And where’s our paladin? What are they investigating, exactly? Where? Why? How? I need answers!

Also, why does everyone die?! Ida only got the view point for a few posts!

    1. All in due time … I’m glad you’re so into the plot!

(And everyone dies because this isn’t a fairy tale world these characters live in, despite having access to magic. They’re just normal people trying to fight a shadow organization adept at stealth and infiltration. Death is swift and unexpected – even for main characters. No exceptions.)
